Launched in December 2020, the France Num loan guarantee is intended to support the digital transformation of very small, small and medium-sized French companies. With this system, France Num and Bpifrance undertake to guarantee up to 80% of a loan whose maximum amount is set at €50.000.
This guarantee provided by Bpifrance thus promotes access to financing for VSEs/SMEs which do not necessarily have their own provisions and are not always able to provide the necessary guarantees.
715 million euros have been provisioned by the European Investment Fund and the French State to guarantee these loans. Operated by Bpifrance, the France Num loan guarantee is accessible to all French banks. La Banque Postale, Bpifrance, Crédit Agricole, the Crédit Mutuel confederation and Memo Bank are official partners of the system.
Digital transformation of VSEs/SMEs: a priority for Europe
France Num Guaranteed Loans are provided with the support of the EU Program for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and SMEs (COSME 2014-2020), launched by the European Commission with the following objectives:
- Access to Finance for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
- Support for SMEs to access intra and extra EU markets
- Improving framework conditions for competitiveness: social entrepreneurship, administrative burden, etc.
- Promotion of entrepreneurial culture
The European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the main pillar of the European Commission's Investment Plan for Europe, is also contributing to this initiative, deployed by the European Investment Fund (EIF).
