2023 Finance Law: the Minister of Transport welcomes parliamentary action for the financing of three essential high-speed lines

To finance major infrastructure projects, the mobility orientation law has in fact allowed the creation of project companies with specific resources to facilitate the implementation of the following major projects:

• The Great South-West Rail Project (GPSO)
• The New Provence Côte d'Azur Line (LNPCA)
• The New Montpellier-Perpignan Line (LNMP)

The amendments adopted will therefore enable them to benefit from additional funding in order to be able to carry out these major transport projects, which are important for their region and for our country as a whole, in a sustainable manner.

For the Minister responsible for Transport: "I would like to salute the tremendous work carried out since the origin of these projects by the elected representatives of the three regions concerned: the local officials, in particular the three regional presidents Renaud Muselier, Carole Delga and Alain Rousset, and the parliamentarians Jean-Marc Zulesi , Claude Raynal, Philippe Tabarot or even Henri Cabanel. This funding is essential for the development of rail networks in the three regions of Occitanie, Nouvelle Aquitaine and Provence Alpes Côte-d'Azur. I committed myself to this when I took up my post at the Ministry of Transport: the development of the rail network is a priority because it is one of the keys to the success of the ecological transition. »
