With the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of collaborative work tools has spread at breakneck speed across the planet. The construction and construction sector, requiring significant coordination and collaboration between teams, has not escaped this. Responding to the expectations of market players as well as peripheral industries, Finalcad One aims to enable teams to optimize their collaboration; this is particularly important in this sector where lack of communication is the main cause of late delivery of a project *.
Genesis of Finalcad One: an application designed from a collaborative perspective
Launched 10 years ago, Finalcad is a company that has built its development around digital solutions to meet the needs mainly of construction and support companies in their digital transformation. The objective is to facilitate collaboration and coordination on a site between the different stakeholders. Over the years, these solutions have been greatly enriched because they were created using technologies which have themselves evolved.
To increasingly meet the needs of its customers, Finalcad has decided to launch a brand new collaborative solution based on the latest technological innovations and which also benefits from the experience of Finalcad solutions which have supported over 24 projects around the world.
Finalcad One, with its innovative ergonomics, is therefore aimed at all trades and at all phases of a project, from its initialization through the construction phase to maintenance. Beyond providing business solutions, this new fully customizable application has been designed from the perspective of collaboration.
A unique user experience in collaborative mode
Each project is unique and involves many stakeholders: companies and teams who do not always know each other, but who have to work together from different sites and sometimes in several languages. People and collaboration are therefore at the center of any project and determine performance and productivity. An international study shows that 62% of the professionals questioned * identify the lack of communication as the main cause of late delivery of a project.
This collaboration is all the more essential in the current health context of social distancing which comes with new restrictions and constraints.
It was therefore essential for Finalcad, in order to always be as close as possible to the needs of its customers, to offer a collaborative tool that was as easy to use as possible: a BtoB solution meeting B2C standards allowing the creation of working groups. Inspired by the instant messaging model with the additional possibility of interacting with all the people attached to a project whatever their functions and at all phases of the project. Whether it is information sharing, the use of input forms or even teamwork on observations made on site, Finalcad was inspired by best practices in terms of user experience to maximize the adoption of the solution by the teams of its customers.
Freemium mode for access to the platform to as many people as possible
Finalcad One gives access, in freemium mode, and unlimited in time to all of its functionalities. If the user wants to take full advantage of the advantages of digitization in his project management, superior offers will then be offered to him, thus allowing him to considerably increase his level of use of the platform.
By lifting the financial barrier, Finalcad wanted to facilitate the daily life of the teams and allow all people (craftsmen, architects, site managers, etc.), whatever the size of their company, to be able to collaborate on all aspects of their business. 'a project and throughout its duration.
The ambition is to be able to create a large community of users.
An application that adapts to all sectors of activity
Finalcad One is aimed at all sectors revolving around a construction project (historical sector of Finalcad), such as insurance, distribution, real estate, tourism, etc. but also new emerging peripheral trades to meet the needs of construction challenges, such as low carbon construction.
“Today, each smartphone user has a multitude of applications associated with specific needs. With Finalcad One, we have the ambition to offer a unique application in order to break the barrier between professional and personal worlds. The aim is to provide real comfort at work thanks to an easy-to-use, all-in-one application that meets everyone's needs.
We also wanted to offer this application in freemium mode to overcome financial constraints and allow as many people as possible to have access to it ”, enthuses Franck Le Tendre, CEO of Finalcad.
