Feebat: More than 30.000 teachers, trainers and building professionals trained since mid-2022

The FEEBAT program is more than ever at the forefront of skills development for an entire sector, for quality energy renovations, thus massively supporting professionals and future professionals in building and architecture.

The mission of the FEEBAT program has always been both clear and ambitious: to contribute to the growth of quality energy renovation, by promoting the skills development of future building professionals, their teachers and trainers, and of active professionals, craftsmen, companies and architects.

The program's DNA is based on 4 pillars:

• High-quality resources and modules, based on a dynamic training strategy, promoting interaction and learner involvement, starting from their daily life or future daily life;
• Training organizations accredited by FEEBAT;
• Within these organizations, trainers selected by FEEBAT;
• Support mechanisms for these training organizations and trainers.

Based on these fundamentals, FEEBAT quickly gained widespread recognition from the industry, its partners and the public authorities, who renewed its agreement in July 2022.

Since then, FEEBAT's actions have intensified considerably, providing massive and unparalleled support to the sector in terms of training for energy renovation.

The FEEBAT report, to date, for the period July 2022 – December 2025

Two main lessons can be learned from this period:

Training modules installed, a program greatly enhanced

FEEBAT's "historical" modules are now well established and an integral part of essential training for quality energy renovation. Over the past few years, they have expanded and been supplemented with resources and training courses on topics increasingly aligned with the sector's expectations and challenges.

Other important modules for future professionals are currently being designed or are nearing completion of testing:

• M3 – Design of energy renovation work programs;
• M4 – Execution of works, with regard to the installation of thermodynamic systems, wood energy equipment, ventilation systems and the implementation of external thermal insulation processes.

A statistical assessment demonstrating the usefulness of the FEEBAT program for its target audiences:

• More than 30.000 vocational teachers, apprenticeship network trainers, and active building and architecture professionals have benefited from FEEBAT training courses in Metropolitan France and Overseas Territories since July 2022, including:
• 9.000 on initial training,
• 21.000 on continuing education.

Since its creation in 2007, and even more so since July 2022, the FEEBAT event has been widely attended. Bringing together stakeholders in the building and architecture sectors, as well as those in training and education (ministries, professional organizations, institutions, etc.), FEEBAT has revisited the approach and role of training in the path to successfully meeting the challenge of high-quality energy renovation.
