FDES and Cradle to Cradle certification for Polygood panels

Remember that this international label is the most advanced standard for safe, circular and responsible materials and products.

Polygood panels have been analyzed and evaluated, in all phases of their life cycle, according to 5 criteria: the use of non-toxic products, the reuse of raw materials, the management of renewable energies, the responsible management of water and social responsibility.

Polygood eco-material fully meets these criteria:

• each panel is produced from a wide range of post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste, ranging from refrigerators and single-use cutlery to electronics and industrial equipment,
• the manufacturing process allows up to 100% of plastic waste to be reused and 100% of the scraps are reintegrated into production,
• no binder or surface treatment is added, which indefinitely extends the use of the
  Polygood and makes it a model material for the circular economy,
• manufactured using exclusively renewable energies, the panels have a very small ecological footprint.

Polygood France also confirms that the low carbon footprint of its surface material is now certified by an Environmental and Health Data Sheet (FDES).

In order to demonstrate and promote the carbon performance of its panels, Polygood France wanted to engage in the development of FDES which aim to provide information on the environmental and health characteristics of the products.

With a certified value of 6,02 kgeq of CO2/m2 for a 12 mm plate, Polygood panels fall into the category of low carbon construction materials. This value, which takes into account manufacturing, supply, transport and packaging, places Polygood among the best positioned surface materials compared to other existing solutions.

Obtaining this document offers an additional guarantee to architects in their eco-design approach.
