Engie Green and Alkern sign a partnership to develop 30 MWp of solar projects

A total area of ​​approximately 150.000 m2 will thus be developed into renewable energy installations, the electricity production of which is estimated at 35.000 MWh/year, ie the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 15.000 people.

This project is a new challenge for ENGIE Green, which already has to its credit the recovery in solar power plants of more than 180 ha of industrial and logistics sites, airport car parks or exhibition centers. For the first time in France, structures in solar shades will serve as shelter for stocks of building products and will be specially sized.

For ALKERN, it is a question of making available the surfaces of its already artificialized sites to produce solar energy there in addition to its historical activities. ALKERN thus affirms its desire to contribute to land development that is ever more respectful of the environment.

This large-scale project is fully in line with its CSR approach and completes a strategy focused on the development of eco-designed products, low-carbon solutions for buildings and road permeability.

The commissioning of the solar installations is scheduled for 2024.
