Elisabeth Borne announced on March 14 on her Twitter account that she had tested positive for Covid-19, while indicating that she would continue to perform her duties remotely.
Born on April 18, 1961, she has been in charge since July 2020 of the heavy file of Work, Employment and Training, at the time of the Covid-19 crisis. Previously, in the governments of Edouard Philippe, she had managed the Transport portfolio, then replaced François de Rugy as Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition in July 2019.
