The software has unique assets that facilitate studies and guarantee the quality of installations.
Trace Software has chosen to develop functionalities both for complex installations and for tertiary installations, by optimizing ergonomics in order to accelerate the design of projects, particularly at the schematic level.
Digital continuity of calculation and schematics for the tertiary sector and industry
For the tertiary sector
The schematic module enriches the functionalities of elec calc with the full representation of the electrical diagram of installations such as auxiliaries and control/command parts.
This module is intended for the tertiary sector as it is limited to a few order folios. The major interest is the management of an entire project in elec calc, without going through an export, since the module is fully integrated. The user benefits from the ergonomics and advanced drawing functions of elec calc. In addition, all developments made as a project progresses can be updated immediately. The schematic module is compatible with all versions of elec calc.
- Elec calc gateway – AUTO’FIL: generate your diagrams automatically
In order to provide digital continuity between our solutions, an export of the elec calc synoptic is possible to the AUTO’FIL schematic product from Trace Software. AUTO’FIL is a tool for automatically generating electrical diagrams to increase productivity in the design of cabinets.
From now on, a gateway to the AUTO’FIL software is available from the elec calc software. By coupling the two software programs, users can first design and size an electrical installation with elec calc then export the synoptic with all the hardware choices to AUTO’FIL. The design is quick because it is automatic.
For the industry
- Elec calc gateway - EPLAN Electric P8: saving time on industrial engineering plans.
Users of the Electric P8 software from the publisher EPLAN will also be able to automatically generate their diagrams from the calculations carried out in elec calc.
Used primarily in the industrial engineering sector, EPLAN Electric P8 is CAD software designed for the automation of electrical engineering design. It supports manual completion, standardized work as well as the creation of blueprints and electrical diagrams.
The elec calc software now has a gateway that allows you to export the synoptic of an electrical installation to EPLAN Electric P8. Engineers retrieve the distribution architecture and hardware selection made in the elec calc project and send them to Electric P8 to automate the design of the diagrams.
Optimizations for High Voltage and complex installations
Protection against directional overcurrents (ANSI 67) and management of time-dependent curves.
elec calc integrates directional protection and inter-tripping. Directional protection is used to detect short circuits selectively based on the direction of current flow. It can therefore only detect currents flowing in a given direction.
This new version also integrates high voltage protection relays and allows you to define a phase and zero sequence protection plan. In fact, it is possible to define the maximum phase current protections (ANSI 51/50 and ANSI 67) and the maximum zero sequence current protections (ANSI 51N/50N and ANSI 67N).
Evolution of standards
Something new with the BS standard and the evolution of the RGIE
British Standard B7671 is now available in elec calc. It takes into account the installation methods and all associated controls. On the RGIE side, the controls linked to the type of differential are now integrated as part of the consideration of paragraph 7.722 of the royal decree of July 10, 2022 dedicated to IRVE terminals, recently updated.
