Eiffage renovates Pavilion 7 at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris for € 152 million

The renovation project of Pavilion 7 at the Versailles Exhibition Center aims to open up space for residents, improve the safety and comfort of users and increase energy performance, in order to adapt it to new public requirements. The works, planned over 26 months, are carried out according to a phased schedule in order to allow the continuation of the activities of the Exhibition Center.

The project should be delivered in July 2017. In Pavilion 7, the work of asbestos removal, as well as the location and recording of the networks, as well as structural work (special foundations and creation of reinforced concrete structures) are underway. . The forecourt, the central aisle and the D4 logistics terrace have been provisionally made available for the fairs planned for September.

Eiffage Construction Grands Projets, representative of the consortium, coordinates all of the Group entities involved in the operation: Goyer, which works on the main facade of Pavilion 7, Eiffage Énergie, which takes charge of all strong and weak currents of Pavilion 7, as well as Eiffage Thermie which manages the HVAC and fluids in all the areas concerned by the market.

With its 88 m², Pavilion 700 is one of the largest French exhibition spaces. Characterized by its brutalist architecture, it is emblematic of the modernization of the entire Parc des Expositions. Thus, if the architects Valode and Pistre respected the original reinforced concrete structure of the structure, they offer it a new breath thanks to large bay windows and a glass veil cover. The facades will in particular be restored and stained and the interior of the building entirely redesigned. The terrace will become a real living space with, in addition to the renovation of the car park and technical rooms, the creation of a glass roof and gardens open to the public. A new convention and convention center will also be created. In addition, safety, thermal insulation and energy consumption will be the subject of particular attention.
