Eiffage announces higher revenues in the first quarter and confirms its annual objectives

The group, which confirms its objective of an increase in its annual results, also underlines that its revenues for the first three months of the year are 1,5% higher than those of the same period in 2019, before the health crisis. therefore.

"The group's results, expected to increase compared to 2020, will however remain impacted by the travel restrictions which affect the concessions and will not return in 2021 to their 2019 level", warns Eiffage in a press release published on Tuesday.

Last year, it posted a consolidated net profit of 375 million euros, down sharply from the 725 million earned in 2019.

In detail, the revenues of the Works branch - by far the most important - climbed 9,2% in the first quarter to stand at more than 3,3 billion euros (+ 3,4% compared to the same period of 2019).

The group recalls in particular that most of the sites had been shut down in France from mid-March 2020 to explain this increase over one year.

On the other hand, on the Concessions side, activity (excluding construction) fell by 8% to reach 629 million euros (-7,8% compared to the first quarter of 2019).

Eiffage is also pleased with a 13% increase in the value of its order book over one year (+ 4% compared to the end of December 2020), to 16,9 billion euros.
