The verified FDES cover the main products intended for the building sector under different implementation conditions: walls with integrated formwork (MCI), walls with formwork and integrated insulation (MCII), reinforced and prestressed concrete precast slabs, hollow core slabs, steel columns. reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete beams, solid architectural panels with integrated insulation, prestressed concrete joists, various types of stairs as well as most common aggregate concrete masonry units (common aggregate blocks laid with thick joints or thin joint, formwork blocks as well as concrete interjoists) and concrete tiles.
Other verified FDES will be put online on the INIES database in the coming weeks to complete the range of joists and road products in particular.
A response to the new RE2020 regulation
Having a verified FDES representative of the products put on the market has become a major issue for construction players in order to meet the new RE2020 environmental regulations. Making them available to construction stakeholders also confirms the environmental and health benefits of prefabricated concrete products and prevents the highly penalizing use of default environmental data (DED).
All of the collective FDES were established on the basis of the functional units most representative of the prefabricated concrete construction solutions.
In order to allow them to be adjusted according to projects, Environnement IB, the configurator of collective FDES for the Concrete Industry, was developed by CERIB for integrated formwork walls (MCI), reinforced and prestressed concrete slabs, hollow core slabs, reinforced concrete columns and prestressed concrete beams.
Advantage of the configurator:
- It is designed to allow easy, rapid product configurations adapted to specific projects by design offices.
- It is used to produce configured FDES in PDF format, Excel files containing environmental indicators by modules and configuration parameters as well as standardized XML files.
- It allows the results of the configurations to be imported into approved building LCA software.
- It is a simple platform accessible to all trades (already 300 users including architects, builders, BE, students, concrete manufacturers, etc.).
Environnement IB, the configurator of collective FDES for the Concrete Industry, has been verified by a third party and is accessible at the following address: www.environment-ib.com
Easy access from the configurable collective FDES will very soon be made available to all users on the INIES national database: www.inies.fr
