In this context, EDILIANS, keen to offer solutions combining performance and sustainable development to promote the transition to energy-efficient and carbon-free construction, today announces a strategic partnership with Peg, a French company committed to sustainable insulation solutions. By becoming the exclusive distributor of the EcoPeg range of ecological and high-performance insulation materials in France, starting on 1 January 2025, EDILIANS positions itself as a new player in the eco-responsible insulation market.
A partnership for the future
Sharing common values of local roots, sustainability and innovation, the two companies intend to offer complete solutions to craftsmen and distributors, in line with the objectives of energy transition and reduction of environmental impacts. EDILIANS, leader in the field of roofing solutions, continues to innovate to meet the challenges of sustainable construction while Peg, by maintaining its local production, strengthens its Norman territorial roots. Founded at the end of the 19e century, Peg is a pioneer in waste recycling.
Today, the company is a recognized expert in the manufacture of high-end wadding for the “Extreme Cold” for the clothing sector. Thanks to its expertise in “Extreme Cold” and recycling, Peg developed Ecopeg in 2007: an innovative thermal and acoustic insulation made from post-consumer plastic bottles, in partnership with Véolia.
For Olivier Delattre, President of EDILIANS Tech: « The partnership with Peg allows us to offer an innovative and ecological insulation solution and to benefit from Peg's know-how and its product, in line with the expectations of building professionals and individuals. We remain committed to combining performance and sustainability. »
For Manon COMALADA, General Director of Peg: " NOTWe are delighted to partner with EDILIANS, a company that shares our commitment to sustainable solutions. With EDILIANS’ expertise and reputation that Peg will benefit from, this partnership will propel EcoPeg and strengthen its position as a reference in sustainable insulation. »
EcoPeg, a recycled and recyclable insulation with reduced environmental impact
Made in France by Peg, committed to a responsible approach since its beginnings, EcoPeg polyester wool is an environmentally friendly insulation, mainly from post-consumer recycling of PET plastic bottles.
By recovering waste, EcoPeg's manufacturing avoids the extraction and transformation of new oil resources. By transforming them, plastics benefit from a second life. EcoPeg thus actively participates in the preservation of natural resources and the reduction of the environmental footprint.
Recycled and infinitely recyclable, EcoPeg polyester wool is in line with the principles of the circular economy and sustainable development. Designed without chemical additives, binders, adjuvants or boron salts, it is made from mechanically and thermally bonded fibres, thus guaranteeing an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution.
Optimal thermal and acoustic performance
Intended for the insulation of unused and convertible attics, walls and partitions, in new construction and renovation, the EcoPeg range, certified by ACERMI and CSTB, is made up of:
- of rolls (L 5400 x W 1200 mm) in three thicknesses (50, 75, 100 mm) and of panels (L 1200 x W 600 mm) with a thickness of 45 to 120 mm ECO®PEG 39+ (lambda 39), – ECO panels®PEG 35 available in different thicknesses (from 45 to 120 mm) in 1200 x 600 mm format (lambda 35).
Produced from compressed wadding sheets, EcoPeg recycled polyester wool insulation provides effective thermal and acoustic insulation. This performance helps improve the energy efficiency of buildings, reduce heating and air conditioning needs and limit noise pollution.
Whatever the lambda, they benefit from a C fire classification, a Technical Wall Opinion and FDES.
Durable and resistant
With rot-proof and rodent-resistant properties, these eco-friendly insulators also have, through their manufacture, excellent mechanical strength that prevents them from settling and deforming over time. Thanks to its hydrophobic properties, EcoPeg is an ideal solution in the event of water damage. Indeed, in the event of contact with water, polyester wool does not settle and prevents the development of mold, which allows it to maintain its performance. Thus, it ensures effective and durable insulation (lifespan announced up to 50 years by the CSTB) while maintaining a low ecological footprint thanks to its recyclability!
Healthy and easy to handle
Designed without chemical additives, EcoPeg insulation products are non-toxic, non-irritating and non-allergenic (OEKO-Tex and A+).
Lightweight and easy to cut without releasing dust, they are easy and quick to implement and offer real installation comfort to craftsmen.
This strategic partnership between two French industrialists illustrates the shared desire of EDILIANS and PEG to work, through their respective commitments, towards the deployment of a sustainable and decarbonized economy in the service of eco-housing. While EDILIANS is strengthening its offer of ecological solutions to meet the challenges of the energy transition, PEG, a pioneer in the recovery of recycled materials, is bringing its unique know-how to develop innovative and environmentally friendly insulation solutions.
