To support this ambition, two dedicated ad hoc companies will be created between the two partners. Fully in line with the EDF group's strategy, this association will contribute to the development of new photovoltaic capacities provided for in the Solar Plan.
A development plan which aims to build 300 m² of photovoltaic roofs per year
Under the terms of the agreement, two new entities will be created: AXTOM ENR Promotion and AXTOM ENR Aménagement which will work on the design of positive energy buildings equipped with production and storage units and with a significant investment capacity. allowing the annual development of more than 300 m² of photovoltaic roofs, ie several tens of MW of power.
An association in line with the ambitions of France and EDF in terms of the development of photovoltaics
“While France has set itself the objective of doubling its photovoltaic production capacity by 2023 as part of the Multi-Year Energy Program, this association with the AXTOM group positions EDF ENR as one of the main players in the energy transition and the development of solar energy in Commercial Real Estate in France. This ambitious agreement, which is fully in line with the EDF group's Solar Plan, will combine highly complementary skills and testify to a certain maturity of the market. "
Benjamin Declas, Chairman of EDF ENR
“We are proud to partner with EDF ENR. This agreement underlines our ability to work with the best to offer solutions in line with market expectations. We already wanted to exceed the standards in terms of environmental requirements, this agreement gives us considerable additional impetus to innovate in the service of our customers ”
Stéphane Bombon, Chairman of the AXTOM Group
Develop sites that are fully optimized for renewable energy
The Energy-Climate Law of 2019 introduced several changes in the design of buildings, including the obligation to revegetate or equip renewable energy production devices on 30% of the roof area of new constructions of more than 1000 m² of footprint dedicated to commercial, industrial or craft use.
The ambition of AXTOM and EDF ENR is to go further by designing buildings and parking shades, 100% photovoltaic, including parking spaces equipped with charging systems for electric vehicles.
