The leader in low-carbon cement technology is now offering Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for all of its products in accordance with the new amendment to European directives, the EN 15804 standard in its new A2 format.

The context of changing environmental standards and regulations aims to reduce carbon emissions from buildings to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050. To display results in complete transparency vis-à-vis its customers, the new Ecocem France DEPs have been developed on the basis of real values from its production on its two French sites (Dunkerque and Fos-sur-Mer).
Results validated by independent experts
The carbon footprints (“Total Global Warming Potential”) are respectively 106 kg CO eq.2/t for ground Dunkirk blast furnace slag and 102 kg CO eq2/t for that of Fos-sur-Mer.
The DEPs were drawn up by EcoReview NL BV and verified by Niels Jonkers of PLUK Sustainability (independent third parties).
Remarkable performance for Ecocem France products
Ecocem France contributes to a drastic reduction in the carbon footprint of construction with a range of binders with carbon footprints of -35% to -85% compared to the average in France (614 kg CO eq2/t according to France Ciment).
Please note: the new Ecocem France DEPs concern all of its products manufactured in France and are valid for 5 years. The DEPs for other products in the Ecocem France range manufactured in Europe are available on request.
