Pensions: Dussopt in favor of extending the senior index to medium-sized companies

The reform of the executive provides that a "senior index" will be created to better understand the place of employees at the end of their careers, and thus promote good practices and denounce bad ones. It will be compulsory from this year for companies with more than 1.000 employees, a threshold lowered to 300 employees in 2024. Recalcitrant employers will be liable to financial penalties.

Asked about France 2 on possible developments during the parliamentary debate, which begins next week in the hemicycle, Mr. Dussopt said he heard that "many deputies in the majority" and "beyond" want this measure to apply "not only (to) companies with more than 300" employees, but also to those "of more than 50 for example".

We “have to look at how we can articulate this”, declared Mr. Dussopt, who said he was in favor of it “if we can have a measure which (not) is not an ocean of administration and red tape for the heads of 'companies'.

He did not specify what the timeline would be.
