Disneyland Paris today shares a first glimpse of what visitors will be able to discover in the future within this complex, which covers nearly 40 square meters.
A multi-year transformation plan for an enriched experience at Disney Village
Located in the heart of Disneyland Paris - between the theme parks and the Disney hotels - Disney Village is a complex that brings together shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. Celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in 2022, this space has more than doubled in size since its opening, continuously adding new elements to reinvent the visitor experience. Work will begin by the end of the year in order to gradually transform the area and give it a brand new visual identity, while offering new attractive experiences.
By combining the exceptional know-how of Disney and a selection of brand concepts with complementary universes, the re-imagined version of Disney Village will offer a timeless and family setting, unique to the Disney universe. While sumptuous shops and restaurants with an innovative concept will welcome visitors during the day, thousands of lights will transform the place into an enchanting and lively place at nightfall.
Upon completion of this transformation, Disney Village will feature lush green spaces as well as a lakeside promenade, embellished walkways, all-new facades, and terraces inviting relaxation. Its various restaurants and shops will provide more dining and shopping options for visitors thanks to innovative concepts offered by some of the most attractive brands in the world, thus offering an optimal experience complementary to that offered in theme parks.
For Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris: “Our Disney Village transformation project illustrates once again how we continue to reinvent our destination, in line with the major multi-year expansion plan we have undertaken at Walt Disney Studios Park. We are excited to enrich Disney Village with new, iconic and timeless concepts that will appeal to a new generation of visitors from hotels in our destination or surrounding towns. We look forward to surprising and delighting our visitors with all these novelties. »
Rosalie, a new French brasserie by the lake, which will open in 2023
The first step in this transformation project will be to replace the current Café Mickey with a contemporary French brasserie. Groupe Bertrand, already owner of several renowned Parisian brasseries, has been chosen to take over the management of the restaurant and introduce a brand new concept, which will optimize the culinary experience and expand the catering offer for visitors. in search of French cuisine in Disney Village.
Rosalie, the new restaurant which will extend over two floors, will offer 500 seats in contemporary interiors inspired by Parisian brasseries. It will celebrate the French art of living with its traditional cuisine, in a modern but elegant setting, with large terraces offering a view of Lake Disney. Honoring both regional diversity and seasonal products, the restaurant will delight all tastes. Offering table service, it will also include a counter offering French bakery products (viennoiseries, pastries, sandwiches and salads) for take-out consumption, as well as a selection of products aimed at satisfying all tastes. On sunny days, a furnished terrace will welcome visitors by the lake.
For Laure Albouy, Vice-President Commercial Strategy and Integration of Disneyland Paris: “As part of our ongoing collaborations with exceptional companies, with whom we share strong values, we are delighted to open a new restaurant managed by Groupe Bertrand to mark the first stage of the Disney Village transformation project. We are convinced that this restaurant, with its unique and family-friendly positioning, will enrich the experience of visitors to our destination, by offering French specialties in a unique setting. We look forward to making this partnership a reality! »
