By focusing on existing but often overlooked solutions, INTERCLIMA 2024, organized by RX and Uniclima, promises to contribute significantly to energy transition efforts and the reduction of carbon emissions in the building sector.
The major challenge of decarbonization
In France, construction is the second sector that emits the most greenhouse gases. It alone represents 27% of CO2 emissions and nearly 45% of final energy consumption. The building sector therefore has a central role to play in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.*
The challenges of energy renovation are numerous:
- Reduction of carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions;
- Encouragement of the use of renewable energies;
- Improved quality of life and support for purchasing power.
For this, solutions exist. Among them, a heat pump meets the criteria of energy saving, renewable energy and circular economy. Other solutions are also available to achieve decarbonization goals. Without forgetting the optimization of the water loop.
Tuesday October 1: Energies & Avenir conference at 15:55 p.m., Forum Interclima
At INTERCLIMA visitors are invited to discover existing alternatives and innovations that are revolutionizing the market.
All the solutions to discover on INTERCLIMA
INTERCLIMA will present a panel of technical renewable heat solutions for decarbonization and energy efficiency at the heart of several spaces. In addition, numerous speaking engagements are scheduled in the “RENODAYS by INTERCLIMA” space.
The biomass
Biomass boilers are a solution for heating and producing domestic hot water with renewable fuels such as logs, pellets, chips or others. A “biomass boilers” area will be present at INTERCLIMA.
Monday September 30: conference by Uniclima and the SFCB at 15:55 p.m. on the Interclima Forum.
Solar heat
Solar heat makes it possible to decarbonize the production of hot water for heating or sanitary facilities. It is systematically associated with a backup, which can also be renewable energy. In 2023, 73.100m2 of solar collectors have been installed and 29.300 individual solar water heaters.
Wednesday October 2: conference on solar heat by Socol, Enerplan and Uniclima at 17 p.m. Interclima Forum.
Heat pumps
This is the largest offer in volume on INTERCLIMA, representing the different technologies: split and monoblock, air/water, air/air or water/water. The stakes are high for the sector which awaits the emergence of new heat pump solutions for collective housing, both new and renovated.
Wednesday October 2: conference of the Association of geothermal professionals, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Experience & Tertiary Space.
Wednesday October 2: AFPAC conference, Interclima forum from 15:55 p.m. to 16:55 p.m.
Renewable gas and hybrid systems
The players in the gas sector will be brought together at INTERCLIMA in order to allow this energy to take a broader place within the green gases of methanization and hydrogen. At the end of 2023, methane production represented the equivalent of the energy production of two nuclear power plants. The same year, 340.000 gas and oil condensing boilers were installed compared to 50.000 conventional boilers.
In new construction as in renovation, the combination of a heat pump and a gas generator makes sense to decarbonize installations without oversizing the heat pump and making the most of each energy, at the most appropriate time. The equipment can be compact and all-in-one for the new, we speak of “hybrid heat pump” or “hybridization of existing systems” (addition of a heat pump on a recent efficient boiler).
On INTERCLIMA, these solutions will be presented in particular by players such as Gas Professionals, or manufacturers of boilers or heat pumps.
Monday September 30: Gas Professionals conference, Interclima Forum from 17 p.m. to 18 p.m.
They are nominated for the Innovation Awards: Airwell - Atlantic Systèmes - AIC France - Dualsun - Heiwa - Heizomat - Intuis – Nibe Okofen France - Panasonic - Terris Energy
