Durieu did not invent the square wheel but… the brick paint pot! Durieu and De Keyn inaugurate this new year under the sign of innovation by replacing the traditional paint pot with new packaging: a modern, practical and eco-friendly container.
Why a brick?
In its civic approach and in parallel with strict compliance with regulations, Durieu constantly reflects on ways to make its products ever more in line with respect for the environment, more practical, easier to use ... This also involves improvement or the development of formulations through packaging research.
With this in mind, Durieu's teams have launched a study for a new type of packaging that is both practical to use and store and more eco-friendly.
The inconvenience of a classic paint bucket
- Difficult to open, to close,
- Loss of product when pouring the jar into a container,
- Paint drips on the pot ...
The idea was therefore born to completely change the concept to offer a new packaging in the shape of a brick.
The immediate advantages of D.KUBE
- Equipped with a spout with stopper, pouring, opening and closing are easy.
- Storage is easier in stores and at private homes: the brick shape of the new D.KUBE allows it to be stored easily, without wasting space.
- Simplified recycling of the brick once its use is finished.
New packaging for 100% efficient content
The packaging innovation of the D.KUBE in no way eclipses a sophisticated formulation: in the D.KUBE, we find all the De Keyn quality of a high-end acrylic paint:
- Simple application with very good covering power resulting from very good opacity.
- Thanks to the quality of its resins, the paint is washable and offers enhanced resistance to wear over time.
- Very nice mat finish with good filling that allows you to hide the roughness and flaws of the wall.
The plus - Storage asset: D.KUBE is perfectly suited to its new container with very good pigment stability and the absence of sedimentation, which allows the paint to be kept open for a long time or not.
explanations: once opened D.KUBE keeps very well (several years) under normal storage conditions. As it is used, the pocket inside the brick deflates and prevents the entry of oxygen which could oxidize the remaining paint. The product is then naturally free from oxygen and bacteria and thus keeps even longer.
