A CSR approach broken down into 7 fundamental principles
Employee well-being
fischer has always attached great importance to the well-being and motivation of its employees. To contribute to the fulfillment of employees and to working conditions, fischer provides them with break and sports rooms, measures to protect them and limit the risk of accidents at work, training, etc.
The opinion of the stakeholders
In close collaboration with its partners - customers, retailers, distributors, suppliers, representatives of groups, associations or organizations - fischer is attentive to the suggestions and needs of these stakeholders. Their recommendations allow the company to continuously improve and evolve its activities.
Resources preserved
The fischer group is constantly improving the management of its resources. 85% of its products are manufactured within the European Union, of which 48% come from German factories.
Concerned about limiting the impact of its products on the environment, fischer recycles almost 100% of the waste resulting from the production of plastic plugs. In 2021, 99,99% of the 2 tonnes of waste produced was recycled.
Energy and Emissions Management
To assess and improve its environmental performance, and to minimize risks, fischer complies with the standards ISO 14001 for the Environmental Management System, ISO 50001 for the Energy Management System and ISO 9001 for the Quality Management System.
In order to increase energy efficiency by at least 1,5% per year, its production facilities are continuously modernized. The company also wants to increase the percentage of energy produced internally by installing its own production plants, photovoltaic panels, etc.
In addition, fischer ensures that CO2 emissions are controlled and increase less sharply than the volume of production.
Personalized responsible products
From the choice of raw materials to the end of product life, including manufacturing, packaging and merchandising, fischer pays particular attention to the life cycle of its fastening solutions to make them more responsible. The raw materials and means of production put in place must meet recycling and waste management requirements.
For the design of its products, the group seeks solutions that can make use of sustainable materials. The Greenline range is the perfect example. It is the first range of fasteners in the world made from renewable raw materials.
fischer also seeks to limit the impact of its products on the environment and on humans by developing formulations without harmful substances such as the FIS V Zero injection resin.
