To respond to this and develop an ambitious policy of quality vocational training, CAPEB wished to strengthen its collaboration with the CCCA-BTP, relying on its various expertise and fields of intervention, in order to stimulate innovation in the learning and in supporting the development of vocational training.
This is the purpose of the partnership agreement set up between the CCCA-BTP and the CAPEB for a period of three years, to meet the skills needs of craft building companies, meet the expectations of younger generations and promote the excellence in trades, careers and vocational training.
Six fields of action to accelerate innovation and excellence in construction learning
- Carrying out prospective studies on the new challenges of adapted apprenticeship and on the changing expectations of younger generations, including the feminization of professions and awareness of the entrepreneurial spirit.
- Raising the awareness of craft building companies, already invested in apprenticeship, to the new expectations of young people, taking into account subjects such as the relationship to hierarchy, the feminization of trades, social responsibility, innovation and the spirit of 'undertake.
- The deciphering of emerging innovations to make craft building companies aware of new professional gestures linked to the introduction of innovative technologies, or even new materials, in order to change uses, identify the skills needed to meet them, as well as the training actions to be implemented.
- The joint promotion of building trades and training to young people, taking their expectations into account, and promoting excellence in apprenticeship as the preferred training path for success.
- The promotion of new methods of support and training for young people with craft construction companies, in order to raise their awareness, in particular on the themes of digital technology, energy transition, European mobility, or even on-the-job training of work (AFEST). It is a question of accelerating and better articulating these evolutions and of offering a reception and an optimal integration to the young people within the training companies.
- Support for the deployment of professional certifications and the creation of training courses with the CAPEB within the framework of the missions entrusted to the CCCA-BTP, in its capacity as operator of certifications for the building and public works branches.
For Éric Routier, President of CCCA-BTP: "The establishment of this partnership reaffirms the strong ties between CCCA-BTP and CAPEB, a member of our Board of Directors with joint governance, in a context of profound change in the building trades, where the challenges and skills needs craft businesses have never been so important and will be even more so in the coming years. This partnership is part of the apprenticeship development dynamic that we support, in particular to support and accelerate innovation in the professions and companies in our sector. It also allows us to implement actions ensuring that we are in tune with the expectations of younger generations and to promote excellence in the building trades, which are trades that carry meaning and values. The actions that we will undertake will make it possible to identify and deploy solutions for the benefit of craft building companies, in order to ensure and enhance the essential link between skills and training in our trades. »
For Jean-Christophe Repon, president of CAPEB: “We have been very keen on this partnership and we expect a lot from it. An annual report will be drawn up. This collaboration sticks to the reality of our companies and young people. We owe it to ourselves, companies and training organizations, to make the building attractive. Convincing young people to go into the construction industry means offering them new, adapted and innovative courses. The work and studies that we will carry out together will help us to analyze trends. Indeed, in the years to come, our craft businesses will be faced with a double challenge, that of accelerated technological innovation around the challenges of energy renovation of buildings and that of generational renewal, with the arrival in businesses of young born with digital. This agreement between the CCCA-BTP and the CAPEB will provide craftsmen with the tools to prepare for this double transformation, in building trades that offer sustainable prospects to young people, young women in particular, looking for a commitment, a career and why not a path leading them to business creation. This partnership is the logical extension of Transform'BTP, which was a forerunner of these developments and which established innovation as a strong marker of the CCCA-BTP. »
