Constructys renews the budget of 20 million euros under the FNE for the year 2023

As in 2022, the budget granted to Constructys is 20 million euros, a renewed amount, commensurate with the challenges faced by companies in the Building, Public Works and Building Materials Trade branches.

20 million euros of FNE funds to meet the new challenges of business transition

To help construction companies meet the challenges of attractiveness, business transformation and deal with the materials and energy crises, Constructys had already mobilized an additional 2022 million euros in 22 (compared to 5 million euros in 2021) from the State under the FNE-Formation program, in addition to the allocations from France competences. These funds have been an important lever for training employees and for companies to better understand the new challenges of the sector which remain relevant in 2023.

The efforts undertaken and the positive dynamic of companies to modernize must continue and continue to be supported significantly in 2023. This is why the Construction Skills Operator has mobilized to obtain additional funds in 2023.

Specific skills to be developed in the field of energy transition

Today, the Construction sector is undergoing major transformations to meet the challenges linked to the ecological transition brought about by new public policies. For example, within the framework of the law relating to energy transition, which aims to halve the energy consumption of all buildings, the development of new skills is necessary, both for the Building sector and for that of Materials trading. construction (prescription of new materials, recycling, extended producer responsibility (EPR), etc.). The Public Works sector must also face major challenges, in particular to modernize the various transport infrastructures in strategic sectors (rail, active mobility and public transport, greening of fleets, etc.).

The funding provided by the FNE-Formation will therefore make it possible to accelerate the upskilling of employees and future employees to enable companies to meet these structuring challenges for the decades to come. We note, for example, training needs relating to energy efficiency: design and implementation of technical equipment in buildings, prescription and implementation of eco-materials, work aimed at improving infrastructures linked to modes of travel, etc.

The challenge of the digital transition

Nowadays, digital technology is part of each phase of a project: management, communication, monitoring of construction sites, maintenance of structures or even customer relations. The skills and practices of employees must therefore continue to be adapted to these changes in order to guarantee the attractiveness of the profession as well as its modernity.

The funding granted will contribute to training employees, particularly in the areas of building design and global approaches, production IT, digitization of customer relations and trades, as well as the integration of IT security. and data management (GDPR).

Companies committed to supporting major sporting events

Construction being in the front line regarding the construction of infrastructures linked to major upcoming events (1 Rugby World Cup, 2023 Olympic and Paralympic Games), Opco de la Construction has also identified specific needs in terms of jobs and skills. This particularly concerns companies engaged in the construction of new transmission lines, the 2024 dedicated structures (including the athletes' village) and their maintenance, but also in the dismantling of temporary sites and the management of the evacuation of certain construction sites. around the sites.

It is therefore necessary to continue to support the upskilling of employees in the construction sector, particularly with regard to design, production and maintenance professions, as well as worksite supervision and project management professions. business.

Finally, within the framework of these 3 priorities in the construction sector, particular attention will be paid to supporting the professional careers of seniors, due to the age pyramid, demographic change, the tendency to the lengthening of active life and the increase in the employment rate of seniors.
