“Conscious quitting”: 68% of French people have already strongly thought about leaving a company that does not respect their values

If only 34% have already resigned for a moral incompatibility, the non-respect of social values ​​is the most unbearable for 89% of French people. 72% believe that respectful workspaces make it possible to fight against certain resignations.

More than 2 out of 3 French people sensitive to “conscious quitting”

Working for a company whose ethics do not correspond to those of its employees is a concept impossible to accept for a large majority of French people. Indeed, more than 68% declare that they have already thought about resigning from their company when it does not correspond to some of their values.

But only 1 in 3 took action

Things get complicated when you actually have to resign. Indeed, only 34% of the French admit that they have already left a company consciously for a question of incompatibility of values.

For what values ​​can the French resign?

Respect for social values ​​is the first priority for more than 89% of French people. Then, 73% are also very concerned about environmental issues and 65% about ethical or moral values.

*Methodology: Survey carried out between April 17 and 21, 2023 among 2.258 people representative of the French national population aged 18 and over.
