Claire Gagnaire, secretary general of Hellio, takes over the presidency of the association Les Transitionneurs

The Association Les Transitionneurs aims to imagine, promote and support initiatives by accelerating the convergence of societal, ecological, economic, cultural, digital and democratic transitions at all levels in the territories.

It brings together private companies (Hellio, GRDF, Nestlé, etc.), associations (STOP Exclusion Énergétique, Le Rameau, etc.), institutions (ADEME, Cerema, Banque des Territoires, etc.), communities (Annecy town hall, the Aquitaine regional council, etc.) and universities (Paris 1 – La Sorbonne, Mines-Télécom), which are working on approaches for the transition of professions, territories, retraining, etc. .

For Claire Gagnaire, secretary general of Hellio and president of Transitionneurs: “I agreed to become president of Les Transitionneurs because I think it makes sense to involve Hellio more in this association. We are a player committed to the energy transition, we support all energy consumers – individuals, companies, industrialists, farmers, local authorities – in achieving energy savings. We are in fact completely legitimate to carry this association, with the sharing of our actions carried out in the field. »

A 2022 roadmap summarized around 12 priorities and 3 essential programs

As a first step, the association Les Transitionneurs identified twelve key questions that follow on from the work of the University of Transitionneurs in 2020-21. Each will be deepened and broken down into operational proposals, whether in projects in the field or within action research groups. Each group piloted and sponsored by a partner member of the association will commit to deliverables with an ad hoc methodological base.

To date, the priorities identified are as follows:

• Imagine, identify and support third places and communities, an incubator for Transitioners
• Mastering multiple digital territories
• Take care of yourself, others, the planet
• Anticipate, develop, work together and contribute to the governance of territories
• Intergenerational challenges, gaming generation and new behaviors
• Ecological food, biodiversity and proximity
• Energies for all and stop energy exclusion
• Culture of creation, imagination and territory
• Mobility and immobility: everything changes
• Communication and relational capital
• Common goods and shared territories
• Abilities and skills: today and tomorrow

On a practical level, the Transitioners will commit to three essential programs:

• Invite and support communities and third places to identify one or more operational projects around which a diversity of actors will come together, ie elected officials, business leaders, associations, academics, etc. Each project will fit into one of the action priorities.
• Support and animate four to five research-action groups on priority themes chosen to formalize concepts and proposals for action, but also to identify and publish results.
• Develop a cycle of training and online interviews to strengthen the skills and capacities necessary for Transitioners in the territories.

On the methodological level, the association will rely on the harmonization of five keys which structure its method of action for a successful transition.

• Attract and retain talent in the territory (build capacity).
• Giving all its place to technological innovation.
• Acceptability, and therefore adaptation.
• The ability to innovate in financing and business models.
• The management of temporary differences.

Genesis of the Transitioners approach

The Transitionneurs approach is based on a conviction: it is at the heart of the territories that the transition will take place.

The search for values, benevolence, expression, innovation, participation and concrete contribution is embodied in one's neighborhood, village, city, in the face of the attacks of a world where networks are multiplying, "fake news”. The territories are full of skills, knowledge and cultures. This association, both a think-tank, an animation and pooling device, an attractor, an innovator and a laboratory for demonstrations and concrete achievements, aims to increase the number of Transitioners and is constantly looking for new partners. to be able to give even more weight to its action.
