Cerqual presents CertiRénov, the new certification dedicated to energy renovation professionals “RGE global offer”

The objective is twofold: to respond to professionals wishing to engage in large-scale renovation, to provide them with local support; and to allow individuals to access financial aid, while benefiting from a recognized mark of quality.

With CertiRénov, CERQUAL, which already addresses a large number of players in residential renovation (individual and collective) with NF Habitat-NF Habitat HQE certification, is thus completing its offer and participating in the mass renovation of the existing stock.

CertiRénov: supporting the mass energy renovation of housing

The need to massify the energy renovation of the French residential stock, which is particularly energy-intensive - 60% of buildings having been built before the first thermal regulation of 1974 - is no longer in doubt. However, this massification must not be done to the detriment of quality, which is both inseparable from the know-how of the professional and his ability to understand the project as a whole, rather than lot by lot.

With this conviction, CERQUAL wanted to offer renovation players a new certification: CertiRénov, which carries the RGE “Global Offer” label.

CertiRénov attests to the ability of companies to design and carry out a range of work aimed at limiting the energy consumption of a home or residential building, such as insulation, joinery, heating, domestic hot water and ventilation. It also attests to their ability to support the project owner throughout the project, a sine qua non condition for a successful renovation.

Any professional carrying out this type of renovation, provided that they assume full responsibility for the work, can apply for CertiRénov certification, provided that they meet the requirements of the standard.

CertiRénov: controlled quality criteria

CertiRénov certifies the company based on compliance with the following criteria:

• Organizational quality: economic and administrative situation, skills, resources and human and material means necessary for the proper exercise of its activity.
• Operational quality, covering both:
  • Work carried out: technical inventory, assessment of energy performance before/after work, monitoring, control and coordination of work, etc.
  • Services provided to the Project Owner: quote, detailed description, support for the client throughout the project, collection of client satisfaction, etc.

To issue the right to use the CertiRénov RGE certification, CERQUAL ensures compliance with these requirements:

• Upstream, during the admission audit;
• Throughout the 3 years of validity of the certificate, with annual documentary monitoring and on-site performance checks;
• During the renewal audit.

Audits and checks are carried out on site, thus encouraging discussion with the professional, who benefits from a dedicated CERQUAL contact.

This organization, specific to CERQUAL, allows constructive interaction with professionals, in the service of the satisfaction of residents.

Please note that, upon obtaining its certificate, the company is listed on the France Rénov' website and benefits from the visibility necessary to respond to requests and provide access to financial aid from the State.

In addition to CertiRénov, renovation professionals can always request NF Habitat certification for their individual home renovation project. It recognizes the quality of the professional while allowing the multi-criteria quality of renovated homes to be certified.
