Faced with the challenges of ecological transition, CEDEO is therefore committed to a circular management model in the building sector, by offering project owners, developers and builders reusable sanitary products that fully comply with standards and expected criteria.
The attractive bet of reconditioned toilets
Installing a reconditioned toilet in a new home would not immediately occur to a craftsman. However, 83% of construction companies and 47% of MOA* think that their customers are open to the use of certain materials from reuse. Based on this observation, CEDEO took the gamble of democratizing a “second hand” of reusable sanitary products by offering its professional builders, craftsmen and project owners, reconditioned sanitary products (to date WCs and soon others categories of sanitary appliances). By partnering with the start-up Cycle Up, CEDEO not only offers reconditioned products but also offers employment to people seeking professional integration. The toilet, of any original brand, is repackaged in neutral cardboard packaging with the words “Cycle Up” and guaranteed for 2 years.
A local system “made in France”
The sanitary products recovered on renovation sites in the Ile-de-France region by Cycle Up supply this reuse sector. Refurbished in a workshop located in Noisy-leSec (93), they are then reconditioned to be available in CEDEO agencies in Ile de France. The local nature of this circular management system constitutes an attractive point for construction companies, sensitive to the origin of products when they seek to reduce the carbon weight of their sites.
Two distribution channels are already available since the launch in February:
- In six CEDEO agencies in Ile-de-France
- Via the Technical Study Centers for key account customers
For François Salomé, marketing and purchasing director of DSC: “CEDEO is a leader in this product circularity approach. We are happy to promote this new offer to meet the expectations of our customers, who will therefore benefit from more sustainable products. We are committed to working alongside professionals and individuals who want to make virtuous choices for the planet.”
For Sébastien Duprat, general director of Cycle Up: “Cycle Up is happy to partner with CEDEO which wishes to offer reconditioned sanitary products in a local circular economy approach. This commercial partnership for the distribution of refurbished and requalified products for a reduced environmental impact will offer construction and real estate players a real alternative to new materials. »
