A partnership of experts for more responsible waste management

To encourage individuals and professionals to bring their used pots back to the store and participate in this chemical waste management process, Cecil Professionnel is launching a “Deferred Discount Voucher” operation which will start in certain partner points of sale from mid-May.

EcoDDS is a state-approved organization that brings together several market players (manufacturers and distributors) that manages the complete life cycle of chemical products used by individuals and professionals. It ensures the collection, sorting, recovery and recycling of Specific Diffuse Waste (DDS) as well as painters' tools in conditions aimed at preserving everyone's health and the environment. Through its permanent REKUPO collection system, set up in volunteer stores, users can quickly and free of charge deposit their empty, expired or soiled chemical products (paints, glues, mastics, etc.) in bins provided for this purpose, which should not be thrown in the trash.

Keen to take into account environmental concerns and the regulatory framework on waste management, Cecil Professionnel is committed to EcoDDS to facilitate the end-of-life management of its products.

It aims to better inform, raise awareness and support consumers in the correct sorting practices specific to paints and wood products, by encouraging them to return them to the store.

With the REKUPO collection system, Cecil Professionnel combines waste management and more environmentally friendly work.

Sort to save better

In order to further involve consumers in the process of sorting and recycling their used pots or aerosols (all brands combined) and encourage them to drop them off in stores, CECIL Professionnel is setting up a “Deferred Discount Voucher” operation in May.

More than just a recycling operation, for each used pot deposited, the individual or craftsman will be given a deferred discount voucher of 20 euros on their next purchase of Cecil Professionnel products of a minimum amount of 100 euros.

The operation is set up in stores equipped with the REKUPO device and at distributor partners with a V33 or Cecil Professionnel tinting machine. To promote the operation, the brand offers them a complete POS kit, in addition to the REKUPO communication tools: blocks of bulletins, A4 counter easels and A3 posters. The department representative stamps the discount voucher with the store stamp and gives it to the consumer.

The campaign will also be punctuated by a highlight: the European Week for Waste Reduction, which will take place on 24 and 25 November 2024.

Consumers will be able to use their discount vouchers until the end of the year (and not just during the days of the operation).

By partnering with EcoDDS, Cecil Professionnel once again demonstrates its commitment to reducing its environmental impact by contributing to the management and recovery of its waste.

The "Deferred Discount Voucher" operation is a lever to encourage individuals and professionals to act in favor of the environment, by encouraging them to come and drop off their used pots in store, and to make them gain purchasing power. It also helps to boost sales of Cecil Professionnel paints and wood treatment products and to create traffic in partner points of sale.
