Breaking the tertiary codes: a shared ambition

The ABB Group has found with Cardinal, accompanied by the Z ARCHITECTURE agency, a partner of choice to understand its expectations and offer a building that revisits the classic codes of office buildings. Decompartmentalize, occupy all spaces, even outdoor, to work, design a central atrium that symbolizes a village square as a passageway that promotes exchanges, using natural light ... will be some of the answers to this desire to offer to employees a working environment designed for "good living" on a daily basis. The building will thus reflect the will of ABB, helped by Cardinal, to offer an innovative approach for a building for professional use.

William Vassal, from the Z architecture agency, explains: "To translate ABB's needs and high standards, we paid particular attention to the building's identity. Quite naturally, and to echo ABB's desire to anticipate new ways of working and to continue its commitment to sustainable development, we wanted to offer a different approach, by deviating from the conventional codes of corporate real estate. We therefore favored a sober, contemporary and enduring style that asserts its uniqueness through its open and connected campus morphology."

A showcase of the company's know-how

ABB's desire is to make this site a showcase of its know-how. The world leading group in energy and automation wanted the building to be equipped and to work with products designed, manufactured and sold by the company, such as GTB (Technical Building Management) and electrical equipment.

A landscaped environment, a true haven of greenery

This 2 hectare park on which the raw concrete building will stand has been carefully thought out. Landscaped alley, planting of 170 trees with different types of species, creation of valleys to channel water, wooden walkways ... an environmental concern and well-being for employees.
