Capremib delivers its bridge slabs for the Seine-Nord Europe Canal construction site by barge to reduce its carbon footprint

This operation, carried out in collaboration with VNF / Voies Navigables de France, helps reduce the carbon footprint of the site, an objective also set by the Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe (SCSNE).

In 2023, CAPREMIB was selected by the Nord Confluence group and more specifically by Demathieu Bard Infrastructure Génie Civil and ETPO to carry out the custom prefabrication of concrete decks for the road bridges of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. This major regional development project, combining technical performance, respect for the environment and safety, will link Compiègne in the Oise to Aubencheul-au-Bac in the North by 2030. This large-gauge canal, 107 km long and 54 meters wide, is an essential link in the Seine-Escaut river link that will connect the French network to the 20.000 km of European roads. A technological challenge, it will benefit from cutting-edge equipment to enable its crossing in particular. To date, CAPREMIB has already delivered the elements constituting the Oise road engineering structures and the "RD 66 CSNE" viaduct.

To reduce its environmental footprint, CAPREMIB, whose production unit in Cormicy (51) is located on the banks of the Vesle, will ship by barge 50 new bridge slabs measuring 13,20 m long by 1,95 m wide and weighing 20T each. 31 of them are intended for the RD40 bis bridge located in Pimprez and 19 will make up the one on the Oise Lateral Canal (CLO), between Montmacq and Cambronne-lès-Ribécourt.
