Call for applications “Territorial Design”: opening of 6 post-masters located

At the start of the 2024 school year, the School of Decorative Arts is opening 6 post-masters courses, in six types of territories, representing varied living environments, but all concerned by specific issues that design can help to resolve.

Design of Rural Worlds, Périgord

Issues such as the last kilometers and mobility, the revitalization of town centers or even the food plan could be addressed.

Design of Coastal Worlds, Brittany

Endemic issues such as demographic and tourist pressure, the decline of the coastline or even the transformation of the maritime economy can be addressed.

Design of Island Worlds, Reunion Island

Endemic issues such as the management of natural risks, the economic revitalization of traditional know-how or even territorial continuity policies can be addressed.

Design of Mountainous Worlds, Massif Central

Issues such as post-snow planning, industrial conversion or even agro-pastoralism can be addressed.

Design of Forest Worlds, Northern Vosges

Issues such as the structuring of forestry and agricultural sectors, their relationship to water, the preservation of biodiversity and even green tourism can be addressed.

Design of Urban Worlds, Parisian metropolis

Issues such as collective uses of public space, food resources, housing and mobility can be addressed.

The training can accommodate 6 to 8 students. It is organized over an academic year, from September to June, around three immersion study projects, the subjects of which are formulated alongside communities, institutions, businesses, associations or individuals, allowing student groups selected on each site to confront real issues through field practice.

The program functions as a residence, a laboratory, a design office and an incubator. Like a residence in that it offers accommodation, a collective workshop, a subsistence and production grant of €8.000 as well as an environment conducive to research and project development.

Application session 2024-2025

This program is aimed at profiles aged under 31 as of December 31, 2024 and holders of a Master 2 as of September 1 or with at least 3 years of professional experience in the fields of design, architecture , landscaping or human and technical sciences (sociology, anthropology, geography, environmental engineering, agronomy, etc.) with knowledge of survey methods.
