This technological innovation improves the visibility of crane operators while integrating advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) functionalities to improve safety and productivity on construction sites.
The connected crane camera
The Nov Services crane camera allows the crane operator to have an optimal view of his environment, thus reducing the risk of accidents and improving coordination with ground teams. Thanks to a 26x zoom, night vision, and an automatic defogging system, it offers exceptional image reproduction in Full HD, even in difficult conditions. The system is compatible with all cranes because it is equipped with an autonomous power supply system thanks to a solar panel and a high-capacity battery (26Ah - Lead Crystal technology), ensuring total autonomy without the need for external charging.
The addition of the specific CAD.42 connectivity module enables real-time Full HD video transmission to the CAD.42 online application.
The video stream can be viewed on a simple web browser by site supervisors to remotely supervise operations.
AI for productivity and security
In addition, integration with Unifield, CAD.42's digital platform, allows advanced monitoring of the operational performance of the construction site using real-time analysis of images from the crane camera. CAD.42's AIs make it possible to determine the automatic progress of the construction site, generate a chrono-analysis of operations and automatic detection of risks on site.
A strategic partnership for innovation in the construction industry
This partnership between CAD.42 and NOV Services marks a key step in the evolution of technologies for construction.
For Jean-Philippe Panaget, President of CAD.42: “We are delighted to partner with NOV Services to offer a solution that combines innovation and ease of installation. The crane camera offered by Nov Services is the best we have had the opportunity to test, which is why we asked Nov Services to develop a connectivity module to provide its users with the benefit of our AI technologies. The connectivity module developed by CAD.42 allows us to use the video stream generated by the camera to optimize productivity and safety on construction sites thanks to AI.”
For Charlie Guernier, President of Nov Services: "We are very pleased to be able to collaborate with the company CAD.42 in this innovative approach to optimizing on-board vision using artificial intelligence. This synergy between our two companies marks a first step towards the continuous improvement of safety and profitability 2.0."
