Its innovative character: industrialized solutions to reduce the costs and duration of works while increasing the energy performance of buildings.
Developed by the Research & Development department of Bouygues Construction, BYSprong provides an industrialized response to accelerate the energy renovation of buildings. An offer that allows both customers to transform an energy-intensive building into a positive-energy building, and occupants to respect their comfort, thanks to work being carried out within an optimized time frame.
How ? The BYSprong offer is based on 5 major solutions. Industrialized and standardized, these energy renovation solutions bring economies of scale to customers and can be implemented collectively or separately as needed:
- Automation of studies: the building is scanned. The 3D data obtained is processed by computer to produce a carbon balance sheet, a thermal study, a cost analysis and manufacturing plans.
- Prefabrication of the insulating envelope in the workshop: BYSprong calls on local partners and uses biosourced materials to produce a tailor-made envelope to be assembled on site.
- Optimization of energy production and consumption: an “all-in-one” energy module is integrated. It ensures the production of heating, domestic hot water, ventilation and management of any photovoltaic installation. It is accessible for maintenance without disturbing the occupant.
- Compensation of energy consumption by the production of electricity from photovoltaic panels.
- Control and management of consumption: The tenant, the lessor and the maintainer can monitor and optimize consumption. The real-time detection of any malfunction allows extremely rapid intervention.
For Nicolas Borit, Deputy CEO of Bouygues Construction: “The French social stock represents five million dwellings, of which 25% are said to be “energy-intensive”. The rehabilitation of this heritage is essential to respond to the climate emergency and our desire with BYSprong is clearly to contribute to this major challenge. »
First implemented on several operations (example in the box below), the BYSprong offer can now be deployed massively. Two projects will start in 2022: 207 housing units for Vilogia in Hem (Nord department, 59) and 318 housing units for Maisons & Cités in Hauts-de-France.
A concrete example of energy renovation with BYSprong in Longueau near Amiens
This first BYSprong project has made it possible to renovate twelve houses from the 1960s, near Amiens, by making them self-sufficient in energy.
The project, which covered the design, construction, operation and maintenance phases, was carried out by teams from Bouygues Bâtiment Grand Ouest and by Dalkia (EDF group) for maintenance.
The teams carried out the 3D scan of the original facades to allow the production of a prefabricated envelope (40 cm thick) and adapted to the existing one.
The energy systems were installed in a module outside the houses, and pooled for sets of three dwellings.
Thanks to these improvements, the dwellings have an Energy Performance Diagnosis (EPD) level A, compared to D or E before the works.
The annual production of electricity by the photovoltaic collectors on the roof (7 kWh per dwelling) covers the energy consumption of the inhabitants.
Key figures:
- 7 kWh /per accommodation. This is the annual production of electricity by photovoltaic collectors.
- 30 year energy performance guarantee.
