Valdelia, a candidate for approval to expand its activities as an eco-organization to the management of waste products and construction materials in the building sector, welcomes this news with enthusiasm. The eco-organization considers this text as ambitious, more balanced and more realistic, which will gradually place the sector in a perspective resolutely turned towards the circular economy. It also calls on building stakeholders to mobilize around it, and announces the holding of a new symposium entitled "Building a high-performance sector together, edition #02", on September 22, 2022, at La Maison de la Chimie, in Paris. .
One more step towards the approval of eco-organizations
The implementation of the sector relating to the management of waste from products and materials in the building sector is well underway. With the launch this Monday, April 25, 2022 of the public consultation of the decree framing the objectives that must be achieved by approved eco-organizations, the regulatory framework is becoming even more precise.
For Arnaud Humbert-Droz, Executive Chairman of Valdelia: “The final step before compiling our application for approval, we invite all building professionals to be players in the sector by taking part in our experiments, and hope to convince marketers who are still undecided to join our eco-organisation model. »
This fundamental step to organize the sector of tomorrow reinforces Valdelia and its partners in the need to accelerate their efforts in the deployment of ongoing experiments. Four types of experiments, currently deployed throughout the national territory, seek to test the complete operational chain of building waste management, and already prefigure the systems that will be deployed gradually at the launch of the Faculty :
- Collection at voluntary drop-off points from distributors and traders.
- Collection at a voluntary drop-off point at professional waste collection centres.
- Collection in new construction site.
- Collection at renovation and cleaning sites.
In parallel with this pragmatic approach in the field, Valdelia is increasing its meetings with collection and treatment service providers to refine its knowledge of current know-how and imagine solutions that will contribute not only to the second life of products, but also to the preservation of the quality of recycled materials.
The eco-organisation: the response to setting up the sector
The REP PMCB sector and its regulatory requirements represent a new deal for all building stakeholders, and its implementation will lead to cultural, legal and organizational changes in the building world.
Joining the collective system supported by Valdelia will allow professionals in the sector to have a turnkey tool at their service. Despite a difficult context (new regulations, material supply problems, etc.), the draft order signals an optimistic return to the entry into force of the PMCB REP. It reflects a vision of the future and an opportunity to build together an innovative and efficient industrial sector.
For Arnaud Humbert-Droz, Executive Chairman Valdelia: “Since the arrival of the new regulations resulting from the AGEC law, the desire to build together, to provide operational, adapted responses, respectful of the interests of each stakeholder, has never left us. More than ever, our teams are at work to ensure that its application is facilitated, and that all players in the building industry, but also in reuse, reuse and recycling, can develop and anchor their activity in the circular economy. »
A new symposium announced: "100% operational", dedicated to feedback
On the occasion of the new symposium "Building a high-performance sector together - edition #02", which will be held on Thursday September 22, 2022 at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris, Valdelia and its partners will lead round tables, to share with the various building stakeholders their vision and feedback on strategic topics in the building waste sector: collection and diversity of stakeholders, treatment and complexity of waste, reuse and reuse of products and materials, ready-to-deploy tools and traceability flows, R&D and innovation, or even progressiveness and implementation of the sector.
