The American subsidiary of the French construction giant Bouygues, associated with a local public works company, has announced that it has signed a contract worth 256 million euros for the construction of a tunnel in the state of Rhode Island.
The company will be responsible for drilling the Pawtucket tunnel, 3,5 km long and located about 75 km south of Boston (northeastern United States). This tunnel will be used to collect and store water then brought to a treatment station.
The total amount of this project, planned to last 48 months in the heart of an urban area, will amount to € 394 million to be shared between CBNA, the local subsidiary of Bouygues Travaux Publics, and Barletta Heavy Division.
