The Bouygues group announced on Wednesday that it had sold most of its stake in the railway manufacturer Alstom, going from 3,12% to 0,16% in the capital, for 500 million euros, according to a press release.
In February 2020, the French construction, media and telecoms giant was still Alstom's largest shareholder with 15% of its capital.
It has gradually sold its shares in recent months and remained with 3,12% the fourth shareholder of the railway manufacturer, according to the Bloomberg agency.
On Wednesday, Bouygues announces "the successful sale of 11 million Alstom SA shares representing 2,96% of Alstom's share capital, at a price of 45,35 euros per share, for a total amount of 499 million euros ".
Following this placement, Bouygues indicates that it will retain 0,16% of Alstom's share capital.
The railway manufacturer, which bought Bombardier Transport last January, now has a turnover of 14 billion euros.
