Bouygues Construction begins renovation work on Ilot Bergère in Paris

Located in the heart of the 9th arrondissement of Paris, Îlot Bergère is an office building with 26.500 m² of floor space, dating from the XNUMXth century and listed as a Historic Monument.

Designed by the architect PCA-Stream, the project consists of a substantial restoration of the architectural heritage of the building, while making it compatible with achieving Net Zero Carbon objectives.

The project will mobilize up to 280 people during peak periods. Assembly of the crane began in March and reached a hook height of 55,6 meters and a jib length of 65 meters.

The project also favors the reuse of materials to minimize embodied carbon. The objective is to obtain HQE, BREEAM Excellent level and BBCA Rénovation certifications, with a 50% reduction in operating CO2 emissions. Also, a “mixed use building” or intensification of uses offer was offered to the client in order to best meet their expectations.

This will be achieved by relying on innovative solutions, such as Cynéo, the Bouygues Bâtiment France reuse platform, as well as the Ultimate Zero Waste approach to maximize the recycling of waste on site with a minimum of 7 streams, including reuse. exterior joinery on site, thanks to an innovative facade concept.

As the construction site takes place in a dense urban context, measures have been taken to limit noise pollution, with the installation of an acoustic enclosure on the construction site area to allow the loading of rubble skips inside and thus reducing the dissipation of noise to the outside. Acoustic tarpaulins were also placed between the Printing Courtyard and the courtyards of neighboring buildings.

Delivery of the offices is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
