Blockages and multiple disturbances everywhere in France against the pension reform

Fuels

The requisition of striking employees at the Fos-sur-Mer oil depot, near Marseille, was extended on Wednesday for 48 hours.

The government is also considering the requisition for the Normandy refinery, the largest in France, because the supply of kerosene to Ile-de-France and its airports is becoming "critical".

The shortage of petrol and diesel at service stations is growing: according to AFP, 15% of French stations are short of one or the other Thursday, and 7,65% of stations are dry.

The most affected department is Loire-Atlantique with more than 53% of stations in shortage of at least one fuel.

Ports

In Boulogne-sur-Mer in the early morning, demonstrators erected dams with barriers, lying electric poles, pallets, at the entrance to the port and the industrial zone of Resurgat. All in a festive atmosphere, with the presence of students and the visit of LFI deputy François Ruffin.

In Caen, the port is also blocked.

In Calais, delays are recorded on the ferries crossing the Channel and the cross-Channel port world is strongly represented in the demonstration which rushed into the city.

Trains

In Paris, several hundred demonstrators invaded the Gare de Lyon tracks, as in Brest or Narbonne.

Routes

In Toulouse, the ring road was severely disrupted in the morning due to a fire involving pallets, tires and garbage containers, but the tracks were cleared.

In Lille, demonstrators blocked access to the ring road south of the city, an action ended at 10 a.m. according to the police.

In Argoeuves near Amiens, filter dams are organized in an industrial zone.

In the Oise, on the A1, an interchange at Chevrières and the access ramps are closed due to demonstrations.

At Roisy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, around 70 people blocked access to terminal 1, setting up a filter barrier to slow down passengers leaving the airport. They were dislodged at 10 a.m. by the police.

In Meuse, filter dams are organized in Bar-le-Duc and Verdun.

Public transport

In Rennes, the bus network is "very seriously disrupted".

In Saint-Brieuc and Evreux, traffic is almost paralyzed.

In Toulouse, filter dams are organized, according to the CGT, at the Tisséo bus depots in the Toulouse region but without blocking.

In Nice, about half of the bus lines are at a standstill, as are the three tram lines.

In Marseille, 16 out of 80 bus lines are at a standstill.

Air transport

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has asked companies to cancel 30% of their flights at Paris-Orly and 20% at Marseille-Provence, Toulouse-Blagnac and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry due to the strike of Air traffic controllers.

Montpellier and Pau airports were briefly closed Thursday morning due to the lack of air traffic control.

Universities and colleges

Toulouse: Toulouse Mirail University is blocked. Sciences Po Toulouse continues its blockage and Insa (engineers) starts its own.

Marseille: at the Saint-Charles faculty, a few dozen people set up barricades of scooters, electric bicycles and overturned garbage cans.

According to the Alternative student union Thursday morning, 80 universities and schools are mobilized: 26 universities (Paris, Clermont, Poitiers, Tours, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Chambéry, Versailles, etc.) are blocked; 33 schools of arts, arts deco, universities occupied; 22 schools of architecture and universities practice standard courses (no obligation to attend).

Schools

Marseille: Several dozen high school students block access to the prestigious Thiers high school, except for baccalaureate holders and students in preparatory classes.

Toulouse: the Saint-Cernin high school in the city center is blocked.

In Montpellier, the Clémenceau high schools, near the city center, and Agropolis, on the northern outskirts, are completely blocked.

Waste

On the 18th day of the garbage collectors' strike in Paris, the three incineration plants serving the capital, located in Ivry-sur-Seine, Issy-les-Moulineaux and Saint-Ouen, are blocked, the metropolitan union told AFP. who manages them, Syctom.

In Brest, the waste incineration plant remains blocked, for the fourth consecutive day, by around fifty people, according to FO for whom "the troops are motivated as never before".

In Sarreguemines, strike at the Continental factory where Christophe Jacquemin, CGT USTM secretary (union of metal workers' unions) recalls that "working until the age of 64 is not possible for many trades (... ). So we will mobilize until the withdrawal".
