Bjelin launches premium rigid flooring collection in Europe

From an aesthetic point of view, the Rigid Core collection is pleasant and original with its extra-wide 228 x 1.830 mm slats, available in eight beautiful wood colours. Thanks to a relief printing system, the slats have the appearance of real wood, allowing them to adapt to many interior decoration styles.

Its revolutionary LitebackTM technology from sister company Välinge Innovation enables up to 20% recovery of raw materials during manufacturing, resulting in a lighter flooring product and a substantial reduction in the carbon footprint of the supply chain. The lighter weight also means the planks are easier – and safer – to transport and install.

Additionally, the unique production method gives these resilient floors noise attenuation properties that are enhanced by the integrated IXPE foam underlay, helping to create quieter and more peaceful environments.

The versatile Rigid Core Planks range is highly waterproof, a quality enhanced by Välinge Innovation’s 5G DryTM water-resistant locking system. This solution, which makes installation easy thanks to the glue-free click-in of the boards, benefits from watertight joints that ensure that no water can seep through them.

The Rigid Core collection will be available in preview until the end of 2024 in the Archea store network, the French specialist in custom-made fittings for 40 years.

The touch of real wood

The embossing that creates relief (EIR), the matte varnish and the beveled corners guarantee a realistic wood appearance. In addition, the long and tear-shaped blades have a range of colors inspired by European oak.

Reinforced by LITEBACK technology

Thanks to the more sustainable Liteback technology, developed by sister company Välinge Innovation, recyclable materials are removed from the back of composite flooring boards (SPC). This makes the boards lighter and easier to transport. This makes the boards up to 20% lighter and easier to handle, while reducing CO2 emissions through reduced material consumption and transport efficiency.

The 5G Dry waterproof locking system is renowned for its ease, speed and reliability of installation. No tools or glue are required - simply snap the boards together, without the risk of water seeping through the joints and damaging the screed.
