Per Harrysson joins Bjelin's management team as Chief Financial Officer. His role will be to lead the manufacturer's financial strategy and support the structuring of its operations during a phase of international development.
His arrival comes as Bjelin expands its flooring range and continues to develop its industrial capabilities. The company is particularly highlighting its densified wood products manufactured using Woodura® technology, developed by Välinge Innovation.
Experience gained in companies undergoing transformation
Per Harrysson has held several financial management positions in various sectors. His career has notably taken him to the flooring manufacturer Kährs, the furniture company String Furniture and, most recently, the defense technology group MilDef.
He brings to Bjelin experience in financial management, group accounting and management control, particularly within companies facing rapid growth or organizational transformations.
“The path ahead and Bjelin’s long-term potential inspire me. What the company has achieved in terms of resource efficiency is extremely exciting. It’s a completely different way of producing, and that’s what makes it so interesting,” says Per Harrysson.
Structuring the finance function to support development
In his new role, Per Harrysson will have to support the company's growth and adapt its financial organization to the development of its activities.
“Per has extensive experience in financial management, group accounting and management control, particularly within high-growth companies. He knows how to structure an organization while supporting business development. We are delighted to welcome him to Bjelin,” says Fredrik Alfredsson, CEO of Bjelin.
A nomination linked to Bjelin's industrial ambitions
Bjelin develops and markets floor coverings with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and the optimized use of raw materials. Its range notably includes densified wood flooring benefiting from Woodura® technology.
According to the company, this process aims to make better use of the raw materials used in coating manufacturing. Providing financial support for the industrial and commercial development of this offering will be one of the responsibilities entrusted to the new finance director.
“Bjelin has developed something unique, combining innovation, sustainability and the ability to scale up. There is a lot happening across the company’s various business areas. I look forward to contributing to the next phase of its development,” says Per Harrysson.
The new chief financial officer also emphasized his interest in the interior design and development sector: "Even in finance, products must inspire enthusiasm for work to be truly stimulating."
