Bjelin celebrates its 10th anniversary, driven by the growth of its Woodura production.

Since its launch in Sweden in 2016, the company has expanded beyond its home market and opened international offices, building a strong global presence. By integrating technologies developed by its sister company Välinge Innovation, inventor of click-together flooring, Bjelin continues to build on solid foundations of innovation and technical expertise.

In the past year, the company has reorganized its operations to focus on veneer and its more resource-efficient Woodura products, thereby strengthening its position in the global market. "This strategic decision has proven to be the right one, as evidenced by the strong growth in Woodura production, and we will continue to capitalize on this momentum," says Fredrik Alfredsson, CEO of Bjelin.

Entering its second decade, Bjelin remains focused on developing Woodura production while strengthening its global footprint and operational capabilities. “Veneer allows us to control our own development,” explains Fredrik Alfredsson. “It optimizes raw material usage, offers greater design freedom and better margins, while reducing our dependence on log quality variations. That’s where our long-term growth lies.”

Woodura® technology, developed by Välinge Innovation, creates densified wood flooring by compressing a thin veneer with a wood powder-based mixture onto a dense, moisture-resistant core. This approach maximizes the yield from each tree while providing highly durable flooring of consistent quality.

With production in Sweden and Croatia and sales in many markets, Bjelin enters its second decade with a sharp positioning and a clear roadmap for sustainable growth.
