On October 10 and 11, nearly 250 construction sites and workshops will be exceptionally open throughout France. This 22nd edition of Behind the scenes of the building, a friendly and free event organized by the French Building Federation (FFB), will allow young people to discover the building trades and all the secrets of constructing or renovating a building.
Individual houses, office buildings, historic monuments, etc. will welcome school groups and reveal their behind-the-scenes views at different stages of the work's progress!
To highlight the building in a new light, a whole range of the most varied activities are organized throughout mainland France and overseas: guided tours, demonstrations of know-how, or even augmented reality games. ...
This operation aims to introduce people to the world of construction in an original and interactive way. It also allows visitors, mainly schoolchildren or people in retraining, to witness the achievements of tomorrow and form their own opinion on the sector. Enough to give them a first overview of the professions.
Behind the scenes of the building is:
- Approximately 75.000 visitors each year;
- Nearly 1.700.000 visitors to 5.000 sites since 2003;
- Visits led by the professionals themselves and secured with compulsory helmets;
- Sites generally open from 09:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.;
