On October 9 and 10, nearly 250 construction sites and workshops will be exceptionally open throughout France. At a time when the construction industry is recruiting and transforming, it's time to dispel preconceived notions!
To introduce young people to the richness and diversity of the sector's professions, the event Les Coulisses du Bâtiment is exceptionally opening the doors to construction sites and workshops throughout France.
For two days, thousands of young people—middle school and high school students, college students, and job seekers—are invited to enjoy an immersive experience. Accompanied by passionate professionals, they will be able to go behind the scenes of iconic projects and understand the technical, environmental, and human challenges of the sector.
A sector that builds the future
The construction sector is reinventing itself daily through technological innovations, the energy transition, and diverse career paths. Les Coulisses du Bâtiment aims to showcase the realities of the professions on the ground, far from clichés.
Behind the scenes of the building is:
- Approximately 75.000 visitors each year;
- Nearly 1.800.000 visitors to 5.000 sites since 2003;
- Visits led by the professionals themselves and secured with compulsory helmets;
- Sites generally open from 09 am to 00 pm;
