The opinion barometer, carried out by Xerfi Specific for the SERCE, shows that after an excellent first quarter of 2023, the activity of electrical and climate engineering companies remained well oriented in the spring, driven in part by a price effect.
The profession's turnover increased by 10% between the 2nd quarter of 2022 and the 2nd quarter of 2023. The annual trend improved to stand at +9,8% at the end of June.
This dynamism concerns all areas of activity of the profession, with some nuances.
- The “Networks and Infrastructure” activity experienced the most contained growth in spring 2023, amounting to 6% year-on-year. Over the last 12 months, it has increased by 4,3%.
- The “Industry” activity, after six months of very strong growth (more than 20%), continued its momentum in the 2nd quarter with a turnover up 12,5% one year later. Year-on-year, the rate of growth stands at 15%.
- The “Building/Tertiary” activity also shows strong growth, reaching 12,5% between the 2nd quarter of 2022 and the 2nd quarter of 2023. The annual rate of growth has accelerated to now stand at 12%.
In view of the order books at the end of June, SERCE members anticipate a slight deceleration in dynamics during the summer of 2023.
