The 20th edition of the Architecture Aluminum Technal Awards is a great vintage! Seven projects received awards and a distinguished mention by a jury of independent experts across seven categories: Living Individual Housing Prize, Living Collective Housing Prize, Rehabilitating Prize, Studying Prize, Discovering Prize, Working Prize, Prize 4114, in reference to the Club Technal of the same name, who voted for his favorite project.
These achievements were unanimous among more than 120 applications presenting a diversity of programs, new or renovated, in France, including the French overseas territories, and in French-speaking countries where TECHNAL solutions are marketed. They contribute to the promotion of architecture and innovation around TECHNAL design and sustainable joinery. They highlight the noble, aesthetic and low-carbon aluminum material, in particular Hydro CIRCAL 75R made up of at least 75% recycled aluminum from post-consumer waste.
In order to celebrate this anniversary edition with and for its architectural partners, TECHNAL wanted to organize its awards ceremonies in the region for the first time. Tailor-made local events to honor project managers and installation companies. Go and reward them "at home", be able to exchange and share authentic and friendly moments... Frugality in the image of all the rewarded projects and of today's society which is evolving towards ever more sobriety and reduction of its carbon footprint . Six events are planned between November 29, 2023 and January 15, 2024.
For Pierre-Louis TAILLANDIER, President of the jury, founder and manager of the Taillandier Architectes Associés agency: “This Palmarès is of high quality and above all homogeneity in all categories. What is remarkable is the architectural line common to all the winners, which tends to favor substance more than form. This is certainly a reflection of our society which is questioning itself in relation to excess consumption, and which is moving towards more frugality. The Palmarès immerses us in what drives us deep down in our convictions as architects, the quality of architecture and its necessity. »
All winners will participate in the international TECHNAL competition “WATA 2024”. They are also highlighted in the collection of Palmarès works, published in 3.000 copies, and through videos presenting their creation.
