Each of the projects entrusted to the workshop are tailor-made, whether in terms of volumes, spaces or style. Archimel creates harmony between the lifestyle of its customers and their home.
After discussions with the owners, the architect suggests a total renovation of the house in a sober and minimalist style; the owners are won over. To blend into this new universe, the architect integrates several invisible doors from the Eclisse brand.
Project from the existing
The particularity of Archimel, specifically in renovation, is its ability to take into account the request of its client by adapting it to existing constraints. After analyzing the place, the question arises for the dplg architect Mélanie Ligier: how to modernize the spaces and preserve the soul of the house? The answer is obvious to both parties.
Exit the partitioned spaces, the massive staircase, the Formica kitchen, the salmon pink tiling, the floral tapestries… Make way for a contemporary house where the optimization of spaces and the clarity of the place serve as a common thread. In a sober and minimalism style, the workshop also exploits the potential of certain existing elements.

The walls of the old corridor (3) - which served the kitchen, living room, dining room - have been demolished to make way for a large living room with open kitchen of 59 m² (1). The 70s glass door that opens into the kitchen has been preserved. The old massive staircase (4) which serves the first floor retains its original place but has been completely redesigned. In a modern and refined version, the architect makes it the centerpiece of the entrance (2). The wooden steps and the black metal railing draw the eye to a graphic element and reveal the volumes that lead up to the second floor.
Subtly selected materials
Archimel has completely redesigned the space of this house in a contemporary spirit that is at the same time refined, colorful and artistic. While respecting the spirit of the minimalist style, the architectural studio has also chosen the quality of the materials: metal and wood to create a sophisticated atmosphere in the entrance and the dining room; wood parquet and concrete effect linoleum in the kitchen; Eclisse Syntesis® swing doors for the toilets on the ground floor and for the whole floor.
After
Upstairs where the sleeping area is open to offer three bedrooms and a large bathroom, the workshop has opted for a vintage atmosphere. Tiles, blue and black cube pattern, fit into the parquet floor of the hallway and extend into the bathroom. Specially chosen by Archimel for their invisible effect, Syntesis® Swing doors discreetly separate the hallway from the bedrooms and the bathroom. Their discreet design highlights the peculiarity of the floor. In one of the bedrooms where invisible cupboards have been integrated, the white painted ECLISSE doors further emphasize the sobriety of the walls. Closed, these doors blend into the partition and ensure the sleep and tranquility of their occupants.
Avant
For Mélanie Ligier, architect dplg Archimel: “Archimel frequently uses Eclisse doors. Minimalist, they have this architectural peculiarity of knowing how to be forgotten. These quality doors were obvious to highlight the hallway completely redesigned and dressed in tiles embedded in the parquet. "
How did the architect Mélanie Ligier come to know Eclisse?
“By constantly updating my knowledge of minimalist materials available on the market. In a constant concern to bring purity and style to my clients' projects, ”she replies.

The characteristics of Syntesis® Battant
Syntesis® Swing is a frame for invisible hinged doors, without surround. Only a chrome handle materializes the opening of this flush door.
The aluminum frame is screwed onto a plasterboard partition or is sealed in a partition to be plastered.
Its passage spacers protect the frame from deformation during installation.
The connection between the frame and the partition is made by coating the ridged profiles with adhesive mortar, for a perfect finish of the angles, without cracking.
The invisible hinges are adjustable on 3 axes. They allow precise alignment between the door and the partition.
