After the market sales figures released last April, Observ'ER publishes its complete quantitative study taking up these figures and adding additional indicators. As a reminder, in 2021, total sales of individual wood-burning appliances amounted to 422.930 units, i.e. 34,4% growth.
The increase in the share of imports on the French market constitutes a fundamental trend which seems to be amplified by the health crisis: it goes from 62% in 2020 to 74% in 2021. At the same time, the share of exports in productions French decreases (17% export in 2021). In addition, the rate of appliances with the Flamme Verte label rose slightly to reach the 80% mark, and it is log appliances that explain this 6% increase.
Financially, the turnover of manufacturers and importers is up 45% compared to 2020. This indicator is evaluated at 667 million euros for the market as a whole. Last noteworthy point, the significant increase in selling prices observed in all segments. These increases range between 6 and 10% for equipment and show an average of 5% for installation prices.
These findings come from the 2022 study by Observ'ER (Observatory of renewable energies) on the 2021 market for domestic wood-burning appliances.
