An exceptional architectural project: 70 meters of Solarlux accordion windows for the Apprentis d'Auteuil in Meudon

This unique project involves the creation of a 1.200 m² learning gallery, a space where the architecture is designed to be fluid and scalable. To meet this requirement for modularity and transparency, the choice naturally fell on Solarlux's Highline range and its high-performance accordion windows, the company being an expert in this product.

Complete decompartmentalization thanks to Highline accordion bays

From the start of the study, a strong desire was imposed: to abolish the boundaries between the interior and the exterior to offer future apprentices a training framework open to the exceptional natural environment of the estate.

This is where the Solarlux Highline folding window plays a key role. With its 3,20-meter-high leaves, it allows the facade to open completely over a total length of 70 meters. The first phase of the project, already installed, represents 28 meters of glass facade, precisely installed by our Quality Partner Lelandais Fermetures.

Designed to offer optimal flexibility of use, the Highline bay rests on flush rails and opens outwards, completely freeing up the interior space. The slimness of its profiles (only 99 mm wide) and its remarkable technical performance guarantee optimal thermal insulation (Uw < 0,8 W/m².K) and acoustic reduction of up to 45 dB.

Architecture designed for the future

More than just a building, this learning gallery is part of a global modernization project for the Saint-Philippe Campus, which aims to become a true “educational and ecological campus”.

Built in accordance with the "Île-de-France Building" label, the architectural style combines raw steel, glass, and concrete, echoing the site's history. The workshop, initially planned for the rear of the Château Saint-Philippe, was ultimately designed as a direct extension of the terrace, offering breathtaking views of Paris and Meudon.

With this achievement, Solarlux demonstrates once again that the Solarlux accordion bay is much more than a simple joinery: it is a true architectural tool, capable of transforming spaces and meeting the greatest ambitions of designers.

The final meters of the façade will be installed in the second half of 2025, with delivery scheduled for the start of the school year. A project to watch closely, it perfectly embodies the innovation and excellence of Solarlux's custom-made solutions.
