Decree No. 2023-444
Regulation
Regarding regulation, although temperature regulators such as thermostats are currently only mandatory at installation, this decree provides that from 1e January 2027, tertiary buildings and residential buildings will have to equip their heating and cooling systems with automatic temperature regulation models.
Insulation
As a reminder, insulation represents the insulation of the pipes which transport heating and hot water from the boiler or heat pump to the radiators, taps, shower heads, etc.
Since 2018, it has been mandatory to insulate the piping that carries heating and hot water when installing or replacing a boiler or water heater. With the arrival of the decree, from 1e January 2027, insulation will be compulsory in tertiary buildings and collective residential buildings for all heating and cold networks.
Benefits
These measures aim to reduce energy consumption linked to the heating of tertiary and residential buildings.
When heating ducts are not insulated, significant heat losses can occur, especially over long distances. By insulating the ducts, the heat produced by the heating equipment is better preserved throughout the journey to the various emitters located in the building. This helps limit heat loss and improve system efficiency.
The same principle applies to cold water networks. If the pipes pass through areas with high ambient temperatures, outside heat can compromise the effectiveness of the cooling system. By insulating the pipes, the cold water stays cold and condensation problems are avoided.
Insulating therefore acts at the source to reduce heat loss and encourages the adoption of ecological behavior. It helps limit the waste of water necessary to reach the right temperature. Thanks to the insulation of the pipes, the water quickly reaches the desired temperature, without delay or waste.
The ALSIC company
ALSIC (Alsace Isolation Conseil), founded in 2019, is a company specializing in industrial thermal insulation and heating products. A fast-growing player based in Alsace, ALSIC has an agency and a processing workshop.
Thanks to its wide range of insulating products for hot and cold, ALSIC has established itself as the benchmark in industrial thermal insulation. Today, it offers insulation for insulation, support, fire protection, high temperatures, fumes, and much more.
ALSIC's range of insulation for heat-insulating allows it to offer solutions in response to Decree No. 2023-444, which will be applicable from 1e January 2027.
