ALKERN is also innovating in the field of public works with a new product dedicated to sanitation networks: the connection piece. A real guarantee of having permanently watertight (thanks to a double elastomer seal and high-tech concrete) and resistant connections, the manufacturer has in fact developed a system for joining sanitation networks (under patent) allowing a PVC pipe to be connected to a reinforced concrete pipe with a diameter of 300. While the first elastomer seal ensures the interlocking and sealing with all the pipes of the concrete collector, the second (added and included) guarantees the sealing of the PVC/concrete connection.
It should also be noted that this innovation, which guarantees the mechanical strength of the pipes, avoids any coring operation that is harmful to the reinforcements. It also reduces costs de facto while optimizing implementation on site with advanced installation. Compatible in all mechanical strength classes (from 135A to 300A), this ALKERN reference offers concrete pipe dimensions of diam 300 x 0,59 ml, with two possible connections (an open connection with added joint included and 1 veil to break, with additional joint on request). Similarly, it accepts connections compatible with pipes of diameters 200 PVC and 160 PVC thanks to a reduction (not supplied). Made in France, 100% recyclable, these ALKERN connection parts also claim safe handling thanks to 4 Artéon 1,3 tonne lifting anchors.
Root Guide: The Alkern Solution for Stockholm Trenches
Always looking to offer solutions to combat urban heat islands and promote the infiltration of rainwater, ALKERN has just designed its root guide. A solution providing all the keys to support the root development of trees in urban areas, while optimizing the infiltration of rainwater when creating a road structure. Indeed, for the integration of trees in urban areas to be a lasting success, it is necessary to take into account the needs of the tree in terms of water, air and space with the needs of the roadway which becomes the supporting structure.
This ALKERN solution thus meets the objectives of feeding the trees (by allowing the water stored in the drainage roadway to pass through) but also by separating the structure of the roadway from the topsoil filling necessary for their proper development, while protecting the roadway (since it guides the roots downwards). Available in square and circular formats, in a height of 0,80 m, with a smooth gray finish, the ALKERN root guide has internal dimensions of 1680 x 1680 x 80 cm, but can also be made to measure on request. A true synonym for saving time on site since it avoids the time-consuming cutting work, 100% recyclable, it is easily implemented at the foot of the tree, by lifting (specifically designed hooks) or via fork passage.
Signature Paving Stones: an enhanced range
Successfully launched in 2024, the Signature paving stone sees its color palette expanded for 2025, with the arrival of 3 new colors. This collection is distinguished by its nuanced, original and creative colors, allowing for unique creations. Signature paving stones claim resistance to frost, salting (Class B and D), abrasion (class H), with also a notable anti-slip effect. They are also suitable for light vehicles (class T5) and are marketed from 31,83 euros excluding tax per m2 for the classic version and 38,33 euros excluding tax per m2 for the aged.
ALKERN is therefore enriching this range with three new colours, adding even more choice for innovative development projects. In addition, note that a multi-format version will be introduced, offering a completely new rhythm, composed of 3 formats, ideal for both in-line and more unexpected installations.
E-Massif: a variant with recycled aggregates
The electrification of the French vehicle fleet involves the annual installation of some 100.000 electric terminals. With its E-Massif concept, an optimized anchoring mass for charging stations up to 22 kW, ALKERN supports professionals in the massification of charging station installations for electric vehicles. Developed for installers, E-Massif displays in particular exemplary maneuverability by two people (80 kg distributed over the two parts, base and plate). ALKERN's particularly compact E-Massif solution (50 cm wheelbase and 40 cm for the slab) also stands out for its ecological character since its weight and the quantity of cement used are optimized thanks to a factory manufacturing process. This reference integrating recycled aggregates from the deconstruction of concrete structures has also joined its Re-source offer, for an even greater environmental benefit. Economical and fast, its installation is carried out in a single operation, without the need for site security during drying. While its two-part design ensures broad compatibility with all charging stations on the market, it should be noted that the standard slabs have a choice of a reservation for a D63 duct or a reservation for the passage of two ducts. And to go even further, let us point out that Alkern offers a solution on order with custom-made pre-installed anchors in the factory.
Natur R1 block: the biosourced solution to concrete arguments! A new response to an insulating, low-carbon Alkern block that incorporates biosourced materials
With a RE 2020 carbon footprint (dynamic LCA) reduced by up to 30% compared to its existing offer, almost twice lower than the R1 clay bricks on the market, the new Natur R1 block from ALKERN (patent pending) is intended for the construction of collective, tertiary buildings and individual houses. With a thermal resistance of R1, a fire resistance of REI 90 (including buildings of 3nd family), it also provides significant acoustic attenuation (47 dB for a bare wall up to 68 dB with 100 mm wood fiber lining).
Its installation is glued (faster with 30% productivity gain because without a concrete mixer, cleaner and less noisy) and it can be coated with a single-layer OC3 exterior coating. Combined with Alkern insulating slabs (for seismic or non-seismic zones), it constitutes a constructive solution with efficient treatment of thermal bridges. The Natur R1 block also displays a mechanical resistance of fb = 8,9 MPa, fk = 5,1 MPa in B60. Made in France with a cold-pressed block process, therefore without cooking and naturally dried, the Natur R1 block has FDES (carbon footprint of 12,8 kg eq CO2/m2) and is 100% recyclable. In addition, it claims to store 10,3 kg of CO2 of biogenic origin trapped by m2 masonry. Finally, note that it is the subject of a request for Technical Advice (in progress) and is available in two formats (20 x 20 x 50 cm and 20 x 25 x 50 cm – lxhx L).
ISOPLANEL MAX
The 2025 milestone of RE2020 will indirectly require further improvement of the envelope of new buildings. As a key point in the thermal envelope of the building, the proper treatment of thermal bridges, particularly in multi-storey buildings, is therefore a priority. A solution already well known and appreciated for its ease of implementation, the ISOPLANEL range (ISOPLANEL, ISOPLANEL I, ISOPLANEL S and ISOPLANEL SI) is expanding with the ISOPLANEL MAX planelle. With its exceptional insulation capacity R=1,8, it is the most efficient planelle on the market. Thanks to the continuous treatment of the floor-wall connection, it is thus the guarantee of uniform thermal performance of the entire building.
Dedicated to buildings not subject to seismic requirements, it thus avoids the use of additional thermal breaks (excluding balconies). Available in heights of 17, 20 and 24 cm, length 50 cm and thickness 6,8 cm. Public price 10 € HT/Unit.
RApiD window sill
Continuing in its desire to combine aesthetics and efficiency on site, ALKERN is launching the RApiD window sill (with Rejingot Arrière Débordant). Featuring a modern design, it boasts simplified implementation and reduced weight (- 30%). Less material therefore less carbon, it meets the dual need of RE2020: decarbonizing the building and meeting the need for glazed openings to optimize bioclimatic design.
Window sill with ears called T-sill or protruding rear rejingot sill, this patented ALKERN product is designed in particular to facilitate the work of all the various trades: the mason of course, but also the carpenter using reservations dedicated to the installation of the brackets and an engraving located on the rear rejingot facilitating the correct implementation of the caulking joint. The RApiD window sill is suitable for a maximum of wall configurations and in particular for thick insulation. Available in width 355 mm and lengths from 40 cm to 180 cm as standard, it can also be manufactured, to order, beyond 180 cm in length.
