Alain Boisselon has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. After obtaining his engineering degree option TP at ESTP in 1983, he graduated from IAE Paris - Sorbonne Business School in 1984. He then began his career as a Bitumen Engineer at Shell, where he will spend 6 years. In 1991, he joined the Vicat Group where he held various positions in the ready-mixed concrete and aggregates businesses. He is now Director of Aggregates Vicat, a subsidiary which manages the aggregates quarries of the Vicat Group, in France.
Regional, national and European mandates
Throughout his career, Alain Boisselon has also held union mandates. President of UNICEM Rhône-Alpes since 2012, in 2016 he organized the merger between UNICEM Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes, and became President of the AURA region.
His union experience is also rich at the national level. He was, successively, a member of the SNBPE (National Union of Ready-to-Use Concrete) steering committee as a representative of Vicat, between 1990 and 2000, member of the UNICEM Board from 2013 to 2017 and member of the Board. of the UNPG since 2019, while chairing the Economic Commission for 20 years until 2016. At the European level, Alain Boisselon was President of the Environment Committee of the UEPG (European Union of Aggregate Producers) for 6 years, from 2014 to 2020.
Work towards the recognition of materials that are both sustainable and respectful of the environment
With his years of commitment and experience in union life, Alain Boisselon wishes, during his mandate, to strengthen the unifying role of UNICEM vis-à-vis regional unions and member unions of UNICEM, by promoting consultation and union in the study and defense of the material interests of member companies.
He also wishes to develop a long-term vision in order to ensure the sustainability and development of companies in the sector and to work on the recognition of their materials. The President of UNICEM intends to provide even more support to companies facing the challenges facing our society.
