Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister of Energy Transition, and Gabriel Attal, Minister of Action and Public Accounts, sign a decree implementation of exceptional assistance for households heating mainly with wood.
The aid will concern 70% of households heating mainly with wood. Thus, 2,6 million households will be eligible, for a total budget of 230 million euros. The amount will be between 50 and 200 euros, depending on household income and the type of fuel used.
The wood check will be available on request from the Services and Payments Agency (ASP), upon presentation of a nominative invoice proving a purchase of wood for a minimum amount of €50 (or a certificate for households with heating collective).
From December 27, 2022, and until April 30, 2023, households will be able to request it at: https://chequeboisfioul.asp-public.fr. Checks will be sent from mid-February 2023.
This aid is complementary to the exceptional energy check of €100 to €200 for 12 million households and the annual energy check from which 20% of French people benefit.
The 2022 wood voucher is used exactly like the energy voucher. It can be used with a wood seller, but also with other suppliers for any energy bill (electricity, natural gas, fuel oil, etc.).
In addition to this aid, the Government continues to deploy calls for projects to accelerate the development of French pellet production, in order to meet the growing demand in the context of energy transition through a national sector of quality and exemplary sustainability.
A couple with a child who earn less than €4000/month in 2020 and who heat mainly with wood can receive €100.
